Who we are
Qannaas (qannaas.com) is an independent buying guide to AliExpress. Contact about your data: info@qannaas.com.
What we collect and why
- Visit statistics through Umami, a tool we run on our own server that uses no cookies: page, country, device and browser type. Purpose: learning which pages help.
- Google Analytics (Google): sets cookies and collects the pages you visit, approximate location and device type. Purpose: measuring site use.
- Google AdSense ads: Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, including ads personalised to your interests. You can turn off personalisation in your Google account ad settings.
- Clicks on buy links: we record the product, time, the page you clicked from, browser type, a random identifier in our own cookie, and a one-way hash of your IP address instead of the address itself. Purpose: measuring what helps visitors and reconciling commissions. After the click you are on AliExpress, whose own privacy policy applies.
- Site search: the search text and a hashed IP, to improve results.
- Server logs: IP address, browser type and requested page, to protect the site from abuse.
- Price alerts and the newsletter, only if you sign up: your email, the product and target price or the interests you chose, and a temporary verification code. Purpose: sending only what you asked for, based on your consent.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. These parties process data for us or as independent services: Google (analytics and ads), Resend (email delivery), and AliExpress (when you follow our links). Some of this data may be processed on servers outside Saudi Arabia.
We may disclose data when a competent authority requires it by law.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: 14 days.
- Email verification codes: 10 minutes.
- Alert and newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Click and search records (without IP addresses): as long as needed to measure the site and reconcile commissions.
Your rights
Under Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law you may learn how we process your data, request a copy, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent at any time. Every email from us carries an unsubscribe link. For anything else write to info@qannaas.com and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie to measure clicks on buy links, and cookies that remember preferences such as language. Google sets analytics and advertising cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
